    Gold

    Wuntho

Ruby Dragon established its first gold mine in 2000. This was also in line with the company’s mission to diversify its mining operations.

Much like ruby mining, the company’s gold-mining operation started out using only dredging methods due to a lack of infrastructure and technology, although it has since evolved into a hard-rock-mining operation. The Wuntho Mine is located in the Kyauk Pa Suk Region, Sagaing Division, and has grown to cover a 358-acre mining area operating as a small-scale production site. Currently, Ruby Dragon is exploring more than 1,400 acres in the same region. The operation is proposed as a joint-venture company with a local partner to increase efficiency.

    Paung Laung

Continually looking for areas to expand into, Ruby Dragon has further expanded its gold-mining operations to the Paung Laung gold mine, which is located in Southern Shan State and which uses the underground hard-rock mining method.

Currently, the mine operates on a 2,000-acre plot. Due to positive results, Ruby Dragon has expanded its survey area to more than 50,000 acres of land surrounding the current operation. Furthermore, Ruby Dragon is also exploring another 24,000 acres of concessions in Yamaetin in the Mandalay region.
